OBI has two dormitories for boys and one for girls. Each air-conditioned dorm is supervised 24 hours a day by houseparents.
Houseparents are stationed throughout the dorms and in the dorm office where students have access to telephones, microwaves, television and basic supply needs.
The dorm office is also where students will pick up their mail and packages.
There are generally three students to a room. All students are responsible for cleaning their dorm rooms each day. There are bathrooms on each dormitory floor, and students have access to full laundry facilities.
OBI's Healthcare Coordinator manages student illnesses, injuries and medications. Dorm students not well enough to attend school are put on bedrest until they recover.
An EMT is on call 24-7 for medical emergencies.
Our cafeteria serves three meals a day, seven days a week. Meals are served buffet-style, and while students are limited to taking one serving per trip, they are allowed to return for more.
The campus grill, where students may purchase fast food items and socialize with friends, is open in the afternoons Monday-Saturday.
"Free time" is a scheduled time each day when boys and girls may socialize in a supervised setting.
Students who are not on the honor roll attend a supervised evening study hall Monday through Thursday.
Bedtime for dormitory students is at 10:00 PM on school nights and at 11:00 PM on weekends.
